Mandarasa: Journal of Islamic Studies, Mandarasa covers text studies and field research in various disciplines, including education, law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, and theology. Initially, the journal was limited to lecturers and professors, but it has since expanded to include contributions from external academics and researchers. Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have contributed to the studies published in this journal. Mandarasa has undergone improvements in format, style, and academic quality. Currently, it publishes research and studies related to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches in English, following fair peer-review procedures.
This journal is an open access journal, meaning that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
Mandarasa is a journal published twice a year that serves as a forum for the study of Islam in Indonesia and other parts of the world. It supports focused and interdisciplinary studies on specific themes in challenging local and global contexts. The journal has become a medium for the dissemination and exchange of ideas and research findings, allowing researchers, writers, and readers from different traditions of learning to interact in a scholarly manner.
