Section Policies

Mandarasa: Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies accepts a variety of manuscript types that reflect the journal’s interdisciplinary scope. Each section is peer-reviewed and curated to maintain academic rigor and relevance to contemporary Islamic discourse. The sections currently open for submission include:

  1. Research Articles
    This section features original, unpublished research that contributes new knowledge or theoretical insight within the field of Islamic studies, including education, law, economics, social dynamics, local wisdom, contemporary thought, and moderate Islamic perspectives. Manuscripts are expected to be between 7,000–8,000 words and follow a standard academic structure.

  2. Conceptual and Theoretical Papers
    This section includes in-depth theoretical or conceptual discussions that offer new frameworks or critical perspectives relevant to the journal’s scope. These papers do not necessarily require empirical data but must demonstrate academic depth and originality.

  3. Review Articles
    This section comprises critical reviews of recent scholarly literature, highlighting trends, debates, or methodological developments within Islamic and multidisciplinary studies. Reviews should be comprehensive and analytical rather than descriptive.

  4. Case Studies and Field Reports
    Submissions under this section present context-specific analyses or documentation of practical experiences related to Islamic communities, educational practices, legal traditions, or socio-cultural transformations. Manuscripts must show academic relevance and methodological transparency.

  5. Book Reviews
    This section provides critical commentary on recent books relevant to Islamic studies and multidisciplinary approaches. Reviews should go beyond summary to include scholarly critique and contextual relevance.

Each submission is subject to a double-blind peer review process to ensure quality, originality, and academic integrity. The editorial board reserves the right to assign submissions to appropriate sections based on content and relevance.
