Author Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to Mandarasa: Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies must be original works that have not been previously published or are under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions that are simultaneously being reviewed by other journals or publications will not be accepted, and authors must await official notification from the Mandarasa editorial board before submitting their manuscript elsewhere.
Mandarasa welcomes scholarly articles and research papers written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English, with a length between 7,000 to 8,000 words. Submitted manuscripts should be relevant to the journal’s scope, which includes interdisciplinary studies on Islamic education, law, economics, social and cultural issues, local wisdom, contemporary Islamic thought, and moderate Islamic discourses.
Manuscripts should be structured clearly and coherently, preferably following the IMRAD format: Introduction – Method – Results – Analysis – Discussion, although variations are allowed depending on the nature of the research. Authors must ensure the correct use of grammar, punctuation, and academic language throughout the manuscript.
For non-native English speakers, it is strongly recommended that manuscripts be proofread by a native speaker or professional language editing service before submission to ensure clarity and readability.
Each manuscript should include the following components:
-
Title (concise and informative),
-
Abstract (in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, 150–250 words each),
-
Keywords (3–5 terms),
-
Introduction (with background, problem formulation, and objectives),
-
Methodology,
-
Discussion and Analysis,
-
Conclusion, and
-
References (formatted according to the journal's citation APA 7 Edition).
